Fall is my absolute favorite season for so many reasons. I love the crisp air, cozy sweaters, beautiful foliage, hot beverages, apple picking, pumpkin patches, and really all aspects of this warm and fuzzy season. When it comes to my home, I don’t always decorate for the season but I just can’t help but add cozy touches of fall home decor come September.
This spot in our family room has evolved over the past few years but something never quite felt right. The chair I had before seemed too small in scale so I decided to swap it out for this beautiful spindle chair from Joss & Main and I’m SO happy with the difference it made in the overall look of the area. The right accent chair can truly make a space.
I added a super soft plaid, cotton throw blanket from Joss & Main to the chair because there is no pattern that says “fall” to me more than plaid. I chose not to go too theme-y and kept things simple with a neutral color palette and a pop of color in the faux branches. A block print pillow, vases with texture, a standing wreath, an open weave basket with Birch logs, and a small, woven pumpkin completed the look.
This area usually has more blues and feels more coastal but I love the warmth that our new chair and throw blanket add to the space. Celebrating all things fall is my favorite and these cozy touches of fall home decor really put me in the spirit of the season.
