When Rockets of Awesome founder Rachel Blumenthal contacted me on Instagram to collaborate, I was so excited. Rachel founded Cricket’s Circle which if you don’t know was a trusted resource for everything baby and toddler. It was my number one site to use when researching products and items to register for when I was pregnant with Will. I was sad to see Cricket’s Circle go, as I’m sure many of you were, but it was the insights and learning from that community that inspired the idea of Rockets of Awesome: a subscription box of clothes for kids handpicked for them and sent straight to your door. You pay for what you keep and return the rest for free. So when Rachel offered to send a box for Will, I jumped on the opportunity to try out this innovative way to outfit my 3-year-old. So without further ado, here’s my Rockets of Awesome review.
First, I took a short quiz to tell the Rockets of Awesome team what style of clothes Will likes to wear. I checked off the boxes that noted simple, classic, and slightly preppy. I was initially concerned that their brand would be too bold for my taste overall but I was so wrong. They really have a range of items (that are designed and made in-house) to fit so many different preferences. Kids are really picky so I appreciated that I could make note of specific things that Will doesn’t like (i.e. if your child doesn’t like zippers, shorts, certain prints, etc.)
Shortly after I took the quiz, I received an email telling me I could review the items in my box prior to it shipping out. I really like that feature because it allows for fewer items to be sent back right off the bat. Rockets of Awesome really nailed it with the items they selected for Will but I did choose to swap out a pair of goggles for another t-shirt. Easy. From there, I confirmed the items and the box was sent out.
If you caught my stories on Instagram, you saw how cute the packaging was when I unboxed everything. My favorite part about the clothes though is the feel. Every single pieces we received is SO soft. That’s huge. They feel high-end but they’re at an affordable price point. Score! Here are the items we got. The white shorts with navy stripes and neon pocket in back that Will is wearing in some of the photos is actually a bathing suit. He loved it though so decided to wear it for play time!
Will had fun running around our backyard and riding his scooter on our driveway in some of his new Rockets of Awesome clothes. He will definitely be getting lots of use out of them this summer! If you want to try it out, click here and use code HANNAH for $20 off your first box. Offer expires June 30th.
Rockets of Awesome gifted the box to us but all opinions, as always, are my own.
