With Valentine’s Day just a couple days away, I couldn’t help but pull out some of my favorite pink decor for the occasion. Last year I set up a Valentine’s Day tablescape and a few years ago I styled a Valentine’s Day at home two ways for The Everygirl but this year I went a bit more basic– a simple Valentine’s Day Bar Cart stocked with store bought treats and pretty drinks. We don’t go all out for the holiday and in fact, Dave is one of those “it’s a Hallmark holiday” guys but I’m all for any occasion that promotes pink, hearts, and sparkles. What can I say, I never grew out of that 5-year-old phase 😉
I pulled out my pink milk glass cake stands and put one on each tier of the bar cart. I topped them with strawberry frosted cupcakes and croissants, and surrounded them with these pretty Kosta Boda ice cream dishes filled with pink, red, and white candy corn. For the drinks, I displayed my favorite elderflower and rose lemonade (I just love the packaging) and brut rosé.
Simple bud vases with a sprig of pale pink tulips added a fresh touch and our Riedel champagne flutes with pink paper straws were easy and perfect for the drinks. I added this “XOXO” pink velvet banner to the front of the bar cart and this ribbon tassel garland to the back wall. I love tissue tassel garlands and have used them on many occasions but I thought this velvet ribbon garland was a pretty (and reusable) alternative to have on hand.
I hope you all have a sweet and happy Valentine’s Day with loved ones! It’s not too late to pull together a simple Valentine’s Day bar cart with easy store bought treats and drinks to celebrate 🙂
