A few months ago, I came across these lettuce ware candle holders and just loved them so much, I decided to create a spring inspired tablescape around them. I thought the coordinating lettuce ware pitcher would be perfect as vase on the table, and the design concept came to me from there.
I used these these wrapped glasses, this block print tablecloth, these woven placemats, these stamp print napkins, and this gold flatware set that I’ve had forever. I used our everyday salad plates as main course plates so that the fun placemats could really shine. Instead of napkin rings, I tied each napkin with simple raffia.
Grapefruits fresh off of my parents’ tree and cheery chamomile flower sprigs were the perfect addition to the rose and cabbage floral centerpiece. To get my grocery store roses to look more like garden roses, I just opened up each petal a bit which created a fluffier, more organic look. I love using that little trick on basic flowers to make them look more unique.
Corals, greens, and pops of yellow created the perfect color scheme for my spring inspired tablescape. And natural, woven elements brought a nice, earthy touch to the whole feel of it. Although we won’t be hosting any large gatherings for the foreseeable future, it’s still nice to make the everyday feel special once in a while.
